COMMUNICATION

To be able to speak, yet live in a silent world.

To have vision and always be in darkness.

Where shall we turn, what shall we do?

Will the spirit whither and the dreams be denied?

How often we sit how often we cried.

Oh for a light or a listening ear.

That there is more than us, is nothing to fear.

Assumptions, assumptions, no truth do we find.

The loss of the vision the loss of the mind.

We sit and peruse the thoughts that so haunt.

We sit and peruse these thoughts that so taunt.

Where is that other with feet on the ground.

Where is that other who laughs ‘with’ the clown.

Circling, circling, this tiniest of sphere.

Hope springs eternal another draws near.

Nothing but silence and darkness--I fear.
