Ariana - Serephire a girl mourning the death of her best friend and love

Ariana stood on the edge of the cliffs, her raven hair whipped about her ethreal face, caught by the wind. Misty tendrils wrapped about her ankles like the hands of a spectre rising off the raging sea below.

Black wings threaded with silver were furled into her back, her feathers ruffled and tense. This was where it had happened... Where Cathyn had fallen to meet the rocks below, that even now the waves crashed over violently. She remembered how it had happened.... How he had plummeted down, blood seepig from his neck, even as he disappeared over the edge, unconcious. This was where she had been held back by the seraphim hunters, where her anger had become explosive, where she hd fought to follow Cathyn and save him. But reached the edge to late. Where his body have never been found.

Tears in her emerald eyes she sank to her knees, reaching for the bag about her waist and tipping the contents into her hand. A black feather - her own, an auburn hair - his... Finally a silver band fell out with shimmering dust... Creating a mesma as it was picked up by the wind and carried into nothing.

"Cathyn... an di allaigh.... an di acra min deie.... an di lieisel.... acrai acra an di allaigh..." she whispered after them. Voice full of sadness that even she did not understand. Watching the sea as it met the sky she hoped, in her heart that where ever he was, he could hear her...
