A poem about my Mom.

You live on in spirit,
through my memories.
I pass on your traditions
to my children.
Watching old videos,
captured times of the past.
As moments of our life’s
become opaque,
my memories evoke
indefinite emotions.
Our years together
will be honored.
I long to feel your
unconditional love,
your complete security,
your acceptance.
I miss you; my vessel,
my gentle martinet,
my maternal origin.
