If Only
If only the snow never melted away and love was never lost fading leaving vague memories that will never suffice, giving no justice to something that once was and still is, but cannot be. The snow too melts away, lost to the dawning of a new season, a start, a new beginning The white blanket that covers the dirt, the reality of the Earth’s scars vanishes exposing the harshness of the landscape And I think, If only the snow never melted away.
