Carnage and the Vanquisher
Rated: 13+ | Poetry | Other | #1047014
This is another of my Horsemen of the Apocalypse poems that you may have read already.
Carnage and the Vanquisher
Two brothers
Riding side by side
One enclosed in obsidian armor
Silent and monolithic
Spear clutched in his right
Bow in his left
Blood drips from his every pore
Running down his armor as crimson lightning bolts
The other clad in burnished brass
Helmetless he rides
His face a mask of charisma
His features patrician
Proud and brazen
He clutches a fiery sword in one hand
A sealed scroll in the other
Together the brothers ride
One inseparable from the other
For where there is one,
The other is ne’er far behind
The Vanquisher molds the people to his will
Carnage plucks peace from their very souls
The Vanquisher is ever victorious
Gobbling up lands as he would a feast
Carnage slays for the sake of it
Regardless of faction and fortitude
To shed blood is his only desire
They pit man against man wherever they go
Brother is set against brother
Father, against son
They leave nothing in their wake
Save for the cries of the vanquished
And the howls of the dead
The Brothers
Carnage and the Vanquisher
