Wasted Time

I weep for the tragic, wasted time
when I was falling for you.
It's hard to chase the pain away,
my hope of freedom renewed.

Chances we took were silly it seems,
I'll try not to let love hurt.
Kisses you gave and diamonds you wore
only deceptive desserts .

You were so use to twisting the truth,
Oh! How those lies did sting.
With a kiss of venom laced saliva ,
you took off my diamond ring.
