I received this review of "All I Really Want" [18+] from a Registered User who had been a member of WC for one day at the time of the review. The following is a direct copy/paste with all typo's etc left intact. Hopefully you will get a good chuckle out of it, as I did!
The Review: you're a selfish, egotistic, suicidal idiot whos' thoughts poison the minds of evolving and immature youth. if just one reader ends their exsistence in this world because of your self-absorbed ignorance you should be charge with murder. if you think for one minute that what you wrote is worthy of some sort of prize, your prize will be a cell with a guy named 'buba'. god forbid anyone with half a notion of killing themselves reads your 'epic'.
that's all,
My Reply: Thank you for the wonderful review! I appreciate your kind, warm thoughts regarding my poem. Your intelligent and thorough critique of the piece has inspired me to become a better writer, and I hope that someday soon you will post something in your portfolio to show me how things are supposed to be done. I am flattered, however, that you think this poem is powerful enough to convince someone to take their own life. If that is indeed the case, then I had better consider removing the 26 stories I have written that involve death, as I feel that they are much stronger pieces than this poem. I will certainly give it careful consideration. Thank you for bringing that possibility to my attention. I feel inclined to mention that the other 204 people who have reviewed this poem all disagree with you, inconsequential as that may be At any rate, thank you again, welcome to Writing.com, and have a great day!
