Nothing Compares With You
I guess you don't really choose who you are going to fall in love with...love happens.

Movies I've seen
Places I've been
Records I've listened to

Books I've read
People I've met
Nothing compares with you

Drugs I've done
The setting sun
The sky and the ocean blue

Feelings I've felt
Were all in my head
'Til the day my heart met you

My luck instead
You're already wed
Now what's a girl to do

Maybe that's why
You look so divine
There's nothing that I should do

If we could be friends
A new chapter begins
In the saga of my life

I realize
It's probably wise
That I don't become a wife

Never could be
All that happy
Trying to live my life

For somebody else
Besides my self
And that's why I strive

To be okay
By myself today
But it cuts like a knife

I missed my chance
To have that dance
And be somebody's wife

Now I'm not old yet
But you can surely bet
I'll never see young again

So I'll just live
My life to give
Friendship to my friends

We came into
This life, not two
But one, and one alone

The human race
Will leave this place
I wonder where we're going

I don't know
I guess I'll go
Somewhere there's more knowing

I hope there'll be
Serendipity
And a party they'll be throwing

Will we survive
This crazy life
And get to where we're going

I hope they'll be
A different me
Than the body I've been knowing

I'd like to be
Beautiful, you see
But for now, my spirt is growing
