How do I know I love you? (written during a previous relationship)

How do I know I love you?
I know because
         I'm loving living a life
                   far removed from past plans

I know because
         looking into your eyes
                   gets me giddy

I know because
         your touch is felt
                   all the way to my core

I know because
         I let my tears fall
                   even when cradelled in your arms

I know because
         a night apart
                   feels like a lifetime

I know because
         the thought of being together forever
                   just doesn't seem long enough
