Our Fate

We stride this pathway of life and blame fate
for the outcome and fences mete or open gate;
but actually, we give fate a hand
for it is often at our demand.

Many things are by others controlled
and these circumstances are weaved and doled.
Such events plus the laws of science have sway
and this part of fate seems to rule our way.

But, within the bounds of acts and facts of life,
We are allowed to act on what we face.
so if we slam into a lot of strife,
our actions can turn fate to acts of grace.

Thus many bad things we can blame on fate;
but in many cases we need to blame our trait.
