The Concert
concerts at the rock, craving food, coins in my mouth

gas stations few and far between
we're meeting friends with liquored dreams
whose smoke filled lips and bitter words
lull me to sleep like singing birds
with acid-tasting lullabies
the copper stings, my mouth runs dry
so clench your teeth around the change
as the days of our youth fade
