Jenny Can't Plant But She Can Sew.

Little Jenny tossed and turned the whole night through. She was too excited to sleep. As soon as breakfast was finished and the house tidied, she and her family were going outside to plant a garden. Her mother and father had told her stories about the Garden of Eden. She could barely wait to see if the plants they were going to sow would bare the same beauty.

Finally after what seemed like days instead of hours, she heard someone moving around. Jumping out of bed she raced down the stairs into the kitchen.

"Morning, Daddy! Are Billy and Mommy awake yet?"

"Not yet pumpkin, why do you ask?"

"Don't you remember?
" She asked, "today is the day we are planting our garden."

"Sorry sweetheart, we will have to do it another time, look out at the rain."

Jenny ran over and climbed up on a stool. She looked out the window and began to cry. Mother could hear her sobs in the bedroom, way down the hall. Wrapping her housecoat around herself she hurried to the kitchen to comfort poor little Jenny.

"Don't cry darling, we'll plant our garden, but we'll have to do it another day."

"But you told me, Mommy, "Everyday we would do work just like God did."
she whined.

"So we will, today we will make clothes for your baby doll."

"God never made clothes for His dollies, did He?"
she questioned.

"Yes God made clothes, but for His children, not dollies. Remember how God took animal skins and made coats for Adam and Eve?"

"Wow, Mommy, that will be fun but what can Billy and Daddy do?"
she asked.

"They can help us too. Yes, said her Daddy, there are many tailors that are guys. In fact, God was the best tailor of all. He was the one who fashioned and molded everything. Jenny looked at her Mom with big excited eyes. Mother put her arm around Jenny's little waist and said,"So now let's hurry and get breakfast over with so we can start being tailors." .

"Come on Daddy let's hurry, you too Billy! We are going to become tailors."
