Yes, I am standing in the dappled shade
That is the outmost edges of my hearth And I am waiting to be found by you, Not knowing whether you'll decide to search. Why have I come out of the deep shadow, Relinquishing my cavern for one more? I am stripped so bare Of clinging darkness. I have done all that I can do But wait. And you are standing in the golden sun - The arrow of your physic stabs my heart: The pupil, glinting cold, reflects more words - Yet you are standing in the golden sun. There is no shadow there to blind your eyes. No ones But your own.
