I always wanted to be a catcher like Yogi Berra.
Oh, to be able to play the game like that!
Was it really possible or just chimera?

Although he swung at bad pitches and made some errors,
when the chips were down, he’s the one they wanted at bat.

But those were the dreams of a different era.
Now my legs are weak, and my body’s a bit fat.

Losing your youth can really be a terror.
What I wouldn’t give to get it back!
