Thoughts
What is a person without their hopes and dreams?

Forlorn and forgotten I sit here tormented by my thoughts, thoughts of pain issued forth from times long since past. Why must ones thoughts torment them when the strife of everyday life is torture enough? Day by day the weight gets heavier it takes inhuman strength just to breathe. So what drives a man to take that next breath, what sends him to the brink but keeps him from jumping?
Nothing that can be touched, nothing that can be seen it is felt deep inside ones heart, but what is it? It is our thoughts, our hopes, our dreams that keep us sane without them we are nothing! Just a hollow shell. Tormenting as they maybe without our thoughts we are nothing but machines. Some are beautiful others harsh and painful, but without them where would we be????
