About this Newsletter:
It is our attitude at the beginning of a different undertaking which, more than anything else, will determine its outcome. ~William James Life is a blend of laughter and tears, a combination of rain and sunshine. ~Norman Vincent Peale Five "C's" of fiction: convincing characters caught in compelling conflict. ~Brandy Collins From the Editor: We are entering into the second week of a brand new year. Have you set any writing goals for yourself? Have you taken steps toward making them real? What steps are you/have you taken? I've always been a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of writer. No real plan, just going with the flow. And you know what? I'm still floating about with no writing published. Not this year! I have goals in mind and have actually begun action toward those goals. These may seem like simple goals and I chose them for a reason. I don't want to overwhelm myself and risk feeling like a failure should I not accomplish all of them. Set goals that are doable. Don't set goals so lofty that you won't achieve them. Do set goals that will challenge your creativity. We have an entire new year before us. Let's make it a creative and productive one! ![]() Nikola
