When we were young, my love was strong as steel.
Your crinkling eyes and winning smile drew me from ever-after dreams to home-life real. God blessed our union with His holy seal. Your goal or hope or dream became my own. I lived only in the place of service to make a home until our young were grown. Plans for my goal somehow went amiss. Your love for me was based on your needs filled. You never saw the heart that lay within, That kept a dream alive yet strangely stilled, The heart that poured out all, but now is thin. Time has passed for my dreams to manifest. When mine died, only yours, our lives have blessed
