My Funny Girl
Rakiki is a German cat with an attitude. She makes me laugh.

A 14-pound tabby zooms through the place
She finds her target, then rests where she stays

She's an American now, but not always
Germany is where she spent her early days

She is as dark as night with big, bold eyes
Gray markings and a white bib without the ties

On her back, she rolls left, rolls right
Stopping in the middle, paws out, a funny sight

A great right hook she'll give for teasing
Those play bites, however, not always pleasing

She looks at bare feet with a playful, wild look
She bites the big toe nail, the others forsook

Her purr is a motor, loud, soothing and strong
Higher than a V8, a rhythmatic beautiful song

A tiger in disguise when other animals are there
Letting them know with a growl, don't you dare

She's an affectionate friend when in the mood
Crawling on my lap, not getting up, her attitude
