Our past reminds me of constant fights
Covering up your eyes
Hide anything that you might
Take away from me
Even thought it wasn’t yours to keep

Our battles remind me of a scarred face
Ugly without question
And leaving no trace
Of the things you took from me
That weren’t yours to keep
