RODEO COWBOY
Lyrics 1st verse A cowboy rides the rodeo circuit and strums an old guitar, Country and western music, he knows it’s best by far, Then up on a buckin bronc that’s trying to break the gate, He didn’t make eight seconds but a lot of dust he ate. 1st chorus The rodeo cowboy sings a country song, He’s gotta get to Nashville before he breaks another bone. 2nd verse The cowboy climbs the fence and with guitar and voice alone, He thrills the crowd at the rodeo with the song Strawberry Roan, Soon he’ll try his hand at bull ridin but he does not wear a frown, Even if he doesn’t succeed, he’ll be saved by the rodeo clown. 2nd chorus The rodeo cowboy loves the life he knows, The rodeo cowboy is at home anywhere he goes. 3rd verse Then one day he heard his voice come over the radio, His latest song had made a hit, so he let everybody know. He gave that bull one final ride that they would not forget, The tumble that he took that day is the conversation yet. 3rd chorus The rodeo cowboy would rather play and sing. To the rodeo cowboy, THE BULL IS NOW THE KING. ©1/14/06 Monty - Mr. E Try this to the tune of Ghost Riders In The Sky.
