Day After Day I'm old and gray, life slowed me down. My eyes still play in shades of brown. Years made me sigh, time was my sage. Youth passed me by, turned one more page. I've had my turn and chased my dreams with gifted sight in moonlight's beams. Lit the candle and searched the flame. Rode out the storm, and broke the chain. Shared greatest joy, the laughter too with dog-doo stuck to my old shoe. Set in my ways, time goes along. Hours to days, not right or wrong. My lessons learned, I found the way. Wiser with age, day after day.
