The Lost

Listen to the pitter patter of rain,
what happend to all the laughter?
The children are crying.
Parents are trying to heal their pain.

Can you hear me? Can you see me?
I'm the child in the willow tree.
I cry in desperation for peace.
Can you try to cease?
Before the world is destroyed.

Look before you, see the dead.
Don't close your window in denial.
Can you not see?
Can you not try,
to stop a childs bane.

Can you see it? Can you taste it?
I'm not the one who can't admit it.
Cry for us now.
Try to remember how
Before we're all lost on the train.

Taste the bitter, dry sulfer ashes.
Protect us from the sharp slashes.
Why won't you cry?
Why won't you try?
To hold tight and contain.

Can you taste me? can you smell me?
As I float down into your tea.
cry for the men of war.
Try to stop the gore.
This is all inhumane.

Smell the burning of the flesh,
As you swing on your hammock's mesh.
When will you cry?
When will you try?
To begin using your brain.

Can you smell me? can you feel me?
Upon the wide open sea.
Cry for the deceased.
Try to make peace.
Can you not see the Brutal pain?

Touch my ashes, upon your face.
I am human, I'm your race.
Cry for us all.
Try the Wailing Wall.
Is this all in Vain?
