Grass Petals
I do this every day, Lying on the grass, Looking at the sky, As the clouds go by. I think about how time, Goes faster than I can think, Day after day, Grass petal after petal, Until I have a whole hill. What will happen when the hill ends? Through the long perched trees, Or the flowered ends? Whichever I choose, I know for a fact, That some of the petals died, But some are still there, And together they build the hill Of my life. I do this every day, Lying on the grass, Looking at the sky, As the clouds go by. And I think, This is no waste of time.
