Icicles fused to the roof begin to drip.
They shrink and fade away with sunshine glint As sparkling substance loses tenuous grip, But their bright existence leaves no hint. The melt, a puddle down below, soaks all While vapor assembles in great white puffs To float and soar and once again to fall And run in streams to nourish flower tufts. Water like ice or vapor- all are the same- Does not reduce, grow thin or wear away. It only changes form and, in the game, Feeds the earth to bloom another day. Time becomes the ice of destiny. God reshapes the days to build eternity.
