Madness

The whispering wind held secrets
Heard only in the mind,
Of a lonely reclusive
Stranger, maddened by time
Everlasting.

Eliptical visions
Yielded terrors of the
Enemy's torturous cuisine.
Starvation.

Glowing embers burned his skin
Lighting the fires of hell.
Oblivious to the
World around him
Each sensation brought him
Devastation.

Without shame he wandered
Ignorant of his appearance.
Thread bare and dirty, he was
Heartbroken.

Mad at the world
Around him, he
Damned the human race.
Noble was his cause, for
Eagerly he had
Strived to be, a duty bound
Soldier.
