bright like the light of dawn
your face shown through the cloud of smoke at the end of the bar my heart was racing and pounding out of my chest as the butterflies threw a party in my stomach with each step closer my nerves grew limp the floor became tar under my feet then we embraced your arms in mine and vice versa soul to soul we morphed into one in your eyes i could see peace for this tormented heart our lips about to interlock brrring!, brrring!, brrring! (the clock reads 7:30 am) i answer the phone its my mother she wants to know if I’ve found love yet
