What is this life
That breathes within An empty wind flows through As every sound is rejected And only light is found When are words not empty Like a crystal clear vase resting On a table of wood and skulls Bringing fear from the floor With a simple cry to devour Where is the wisdom A lost call of the night Never to be heard again By the solitary mourning sigh On only a whim of time How can light prevail Through the sleeping valley Emptiness seeps with desire Liquid stars fill a fountain Standing amidst flowers that wilt Why is hope so weak here Lying limp near a broken wall No life flows through As the fight is lost Sorrow has no more tears Who will survive now In the vile emptiness Will light flow once again Around a field of the lost Or will all be forgotten
