"Golden Memories I'll Always treasure"..
Crossing Over
Brother we've loved since we were boys.
Played games with our home made toys,
I told stories I had fantasized in my head,
To all you brothers packed in the iron bed,
We slept together and were warm as toast,
On those cold nights when the water froze.
That was when you was healthy and young,
Now there's a new challenge to over come,
The doctor has given you six months to live,
Cancer has spread, how much can you give?
Dear brother time is short for you and me
To become the close brothers we used to be.
I'm the big brother you asked me for advice
You trusted it and never doubted it twice,
You served as a Soldier in the Vietnam's war,
Your lungs were infected with Agent Orange,
Now you suffer from terminal lung cancer,
How long will you live only God can answer.
You are destined to go to a far better home,
In God's heavenly contentment you'll know.
Forever you will live with the grace of God,
My loving brother you'll see Dad and Mom.
