Red Baron
An aerial fight.

Avg Rating: (1)

Dodging through clouds, behind them hide
Seeking crosscurrent to secretly ride
Sweeping, oncoming, our flights cross
Eyes meet, silent challenge we toss
Exhaust spilling grease colored clouds on my face
Smearing my goggles with the refuse of the race
Turning an ever smaller concentric circle
Among the clouds damned enemy and I whirl
Machine gun fire zinging through my wing
Enemy bullets ripping across sting
Pushing G's I race up high and stall
Racing down in a controlled fall
Starboard I find Red Baron below
It's time to deal the final blow
Finger on trigger, he's met his match
Smoke billows out, fire will catch
Flying to base, with tears in my eyes
Confident Red Baron will not rise.
