Quizmo LaGrande Like a stone Tossed in a deep stone well Creating blue reflecting circles Concentrically searching For another way Another dollar Another dime Another promise Another time. Like a feather Plucked in molting Discarded Hopelessly blowing in haphazard Colors frayed and forlorn Only yesterday’s splendor knew Another flight When gentle winds blew When plumage took wing Like a clock Hands pointing to no time Worth denoting Ticking despite no winding Into a today, tomorrow never sees. Another chance Another tear Another friend Another year.
