Patti’s Prayer (Toward Jerusalem)
Knowing He was going to be crucified there,
“ … Jesus resolutely set His face to go to Jerusalem.”
Luke 9:51
Lord, may I seek You, even though I’m afraid.
Lord, may I seek You, all the way to Jerusalem.
Please answer my prayer, and show me You’re there.
O Lord, I’m afraid, but there’s no other way than to trust You.
Lord, may I trust You, for without You I’m lost.
Lord, may I trust You, each step of the way to Jerusalem.
I know Your path leads me home, still I can’t make it alone
Please take my hand, help me understand how You love me.
Lord, may I love You, as You have loved me.
Lord, may I love You, all the way to Jerusalem.
Your joy is my strength, Your light is my shield.
You are the first and the last, Savior and Lord, God Almighty.
Lord, may I be faithful to look up when I fall.
Lord, my Jerusalem is my highest call.
It will take all I have. It will take all I know.
It means giving my life. It means giving my soul for Your glory.
Lord, I will follow You, I’ll take up my cross.
Lord, I will follow You even beyond, Jerusalem.
