I never really knew. It's hard to really know. When you should hold on, or when you should let go. Now we're just a shipwreck. Torn apart and drifting round. It's hard to really navigate, When you've run aground. I didn't want to leave. I didn't want to let go. It's hard getting back to the beach, when held by the undertow. I tried to swim along the shore, Moving left and right. Trying to beat the riptide, You faded from my sight. It was hard to be without you, But now I've come to know. What my life would've been like, If I never let you go. So now I go on alone, floating through a peaceful sea. One day I will land somewhere, at the place I'm supposed to be.
