Do-Over

If given the option
To do it again,
To live and to think
And
Live life once more-

I'm terribly dull
No imagination at all-
Because I think I'd
Return
As myself--I'm a bore.

The chance-just to think!
No hefty burdens to lift
Or big sorrows to mend or
Stigmas
To follow me around anymore!

DO-OVER!

I'd live it all once again
With new chances to do
All the things that
Have
Already... been... done?

Hmmm...

Perhaps I'd return
As a parrot-that it!
They live long and look
Lush
And have tons of fun-

I'd be cranky but
Thought cute
And rude but thought
Precious
And when it all is done-

Hmmm...

I'd still be me.
