THE DEEP END Thickening clouds hid the stars and filled the evening sky; a fitting backdrop for my final act, I would punish, not saying goodbye. A desperate love I had for him, in truth, did he love me as well? Then why am I standing on this cliff conceiving my own kind of Hell? His arms were tight around her, his eyes on her long blonde hair, I watched them as they tenderly kissed, and my quiet rage filled the air. Surely a quick fall to my death would serve him right, the liar, the cheat! I'm ready to take the final plunge into the water, the deep end - so deep. Life without him, more than I can bear; no use to try winning him back; The color of love should always be red, and below me the ocean is black. Countrymom 2/5/06
