I'LL BE BACK!

I'LL BE BACK!

I have traveled through swirling mists
of time before, carried by the wind
and the God that created me;
destination unknown, memories lost.

I am an old soul, the answer to
the question of reincarnation;
Yes, I believe! And I do not fear
the darkness of night or death.

"Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust"
they say each time they lay my
discarded body in the ground;
little do they know - I'll be back!

We have lessons to learn before
we can ever reach angel status;
if we could just remember, yet
each time we come back, we learn.

I have walked on golden beaches,
felt the wind upon my face;
I have climbed the highest mountain
and I have fallen in disgrace.

"Once more with feeling" my soul cries
as it enters into a new life,
kicking and squalling, hungry;
as a new mother in a new country
cradles me in her arms, and smiles.
