How Could He Be So Cruel?
She went with him for six months Loved him with her heart and soul Couldn't believe he would be so cruel Playing her for nothing but a fool He said he loved her, as she went away He'd talk on the phone later in the day Four days have passed, she has not heard The telephone ring nor a single word She calls his home every hour or two And drives up to see if he is at home She guesses that they must be through She doesn't know what she will do She cries and cries all day and night long What did she do for him to treat her wrong She barely sleeps, waiting for the phone Praying he'll call and invite her home She can't believe this really occurred Nor can I, I sit and weep and wonder why A son of mine, would be so terribly unkind By not telling her the relationship is through
