To The Road
Here’s to the roads I’ve traveled And to those that are still unseen, That lead to the mountains and rivers; To the valleys deep and green. The ones that lead to the past And to the future, my friend. These are the roads I’ve traveled, And to where I’ve never been. So I stop here a while to ponder, Should I stay, or maybe wander? Do I belong here in this place? Or am I a stranger with no face? Have I left a mark, in being here? Will my leaving cause one tear? Would someone care or wonder why, Ask did he live, or did he die? I think it’s time to move once more, Perhaps to walk along the shore The sea is where I have not been, A different road, to try again ©2002 Monty
