It’s late, almost midnight,
I sit in the dark, alone on my bed,
The sunset is my only light,
I can’t get you out of my head,
I feel the rain splash on my chest,
I touch my face and feel the wet,
To forget completely would be best,
How much more alone could I get,
The rain is a soothing lullaby,
The sky is crying on the trees,
I wipe my face, I will not cry,
The trees are dancing in the breeze,
The clocks ticks, another minute has passed,
The trees sway in the breeze, so slow,
Sleep tries to close my eyes at last,
I shut my eyes and let the tears flow.
