So many hours i have had you by my side
Hand in hand , We've been through so much
Holding me when i cry
Bracing me when i begin to break
Helping me up when it's more then I can take

All of this and still I wonder why
I forgave you for it all
All the tears you've caused me to cry
You hurt me so bad my heart began to shatter
Yet you wanted more, as if it didn't matter

Day in and day out you lied
Lead me on like a naive child
You never bothered to see how hard I tried
I wanted nothing more then you
Just to be the one who completed you

I never let go , kept reaching for this ideal
I held on to that foolish thought
I kept hoping one day it would be real

What worse is that I did
