What are muses?

Muses are little creatures that inspire us to be creative. They help us write, to draw, to think, to act, to do anything and everything that make us more than just people. They can be shy, wild, friendly, mean, funny, sad, etc. They come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors, usually some reflection of their field of expertise.

What is M.U.S.E.?

M.U.S.E. stands for Misunderstood Unusual and Skillful Entities. This project is to further the research about these strange and lovable creatures. Why do we have them? Where do they come from? What do they do? Where do they go when you lose inspiration? Hopefully, through time and careful scientific studying, we can discover the answers to such questions and more.

What are my muses?

I have four muses. It can be quite hard managing all four, but I try. Let me introduce you to them!

First we have Sin. Don't be afraid! He's actually really nice. He's the silent type, though, so don' think asking him questions will get you anywhere. He doesn't even talk to me!

Sin is a very creative muse though. He works together well with the other three and comes up with some wicked cool stuff. But I have to keep him well fed. He loves to eat! I wouldnt stand too close to him with that box of candies... see, told ya he loves to eat. No, I'm not paying for your candy. Stop whining!

Sin is my muse of the Arts genre.

Next we have Ava. She's the friendliest of my muses. She also doesn't stop talking. Maybe she makes up for Sin being so silent? She's the most active of my muses, which is a good thing.

Why do I have a female muse? Contrary to what many people may think, the muse's gender isn't based on the creator's. It's just whatever is conjured. Ava really loves to meet other muses and make new friends. She also loves flowers, dragons, and hugs. She really loves hugs from dragons wearing flowers. Never seen one? Nor has she, but it's best not to remind her about... ugh, you gone and made her cry now! I hope you're happy with yourself.

Ava is my muse of the Fantasy genre.

Who's that? That's Guy, another one of my muses. He's very shy. In fact, I often wonder which muse is more shy: Sin or Guy? What's up with his face? He always has that look. It's kind of the confused-meets-sarcastic look.

Guy doesn't talk much. He's usually too busy reading. He's got to fill his big head with something! He's very friendly once you get to know him. He's actually very funny too! Go ahead, ask him to tell you a joke... see, wasn't that funny? Huh, you didn't get it? Guy says it must've gone over your head. No, he doesn't want to tell another joke. That was the only one he knows.

Guy is my muse of the Philosophy genre.

Last we have Eden. Isn't he just adorable? Yes, he is sleeping right now. Eden always sleeps. Well, sometimes he is awake, but rarely... very rarely. I don't know why he always sleeps. It saves money on the food bill, though.

Since he is almost always sleeping, the other muses usually carry him around if they need to go somewhere. Well, Sin usually carries him around. The last time Guy did it, he dropped Eden and the poor little muse went rolling down a hill right into the river. He didn't even wake up! The muses think he might have a disorder or something. Often times he falls asleep during meals. He even fell asleep while playing in the snow. We didn't find him until Spring came.
