ONCE UPON A LOVER Now that I have your attention there's a story that I want to tell about a young love and restless heart; two worlds colliding, exploding. He was my anchor, my hope in a storm. He was the man who gave and took love equally well, a student of charm... leaving me anticipating his return. The restless winds of change somehow took him away, to other ports of call; leaving me bleeding inside, broken. Years later I look back and smile. For it was he who took my hand and led me into a whole new world where he knew I could be a better me without him, and set me free. Would I wish him back, for even a day or a night of desire and wonder? No, what is past is past; without him, I stand a little taller, and stronger. Countrymom 2/13/06
