Cyber Monkey Paradox

Tied to a LCD, chained to a keyboard.
Headset wires like empty umbilical cords.
No food, no substance, just electrical conduits cybernetically connecting us.
Technological freedom with more `big brothers' and more 'content control'.
Freedom of speech with more agendas and more deceit.
The world is controlled by ambitious cut-throats.
Survival is side by side with microchips.
No escaping it, the last trees will be bought on E-Bay.
The last animals will be seen on Google.
Museum and libraries will be closed.
Food will be replicated.

Humans, a species of cyber monkey will still swing from phone lines, waving weapons, battering their chests.
What happens when beasts evolve?
Do they stop hating?
Do they stop fighting?
Does the lust and greed just disappear?
Are we any better because we can genetically engineer our dinner?
Or should we go back to using spears?
