Trying to write, but my cat is demanding my attention away from my muse!

Furry toes,
a cold wet nose,
a white spot on your chin.

Laptop chair,
your derriere
is pressing random keys.

Darling cat,
this place you sat
is interruping work.

Can't you see,
you little queen,
Mommy's writing some.

Soft meow,
"Attention now!"
Demanding little pest.

A quick pat,
you spoiled cat,
get off and let me be.

You want more?
Attention whore.
Fine, but only a bit.

Am I done?
An hour's gone
I must finish this poem

Better yet
My precious pet
Why don't you do it for me?
