With Her Head Held High

A girl down the street,
She walks with her pride.
She walks all alone.
With her head held high,

But looking in her eyes,
You’ll see that she’s lost,
But still she walks on,
With her head held high.

It’s like she’s waiting,
For a friend to come,
Always waiting,
With her head held high.

If you look closely,
She'll watch everyone,
As they ignore her,
With her head held high.

She’ll never give up,
She’ll always be out there,
Waiting alone,
With her head held high.
