TAPS OR REVEILLE
~
Reveille is the soldiers'
first early wake up call,
The music almost cheerful,
will bring him standing tall.
~
Taps, a kind of soulful sound,
is heard on camp at night.
It’s a signal sent by note
to extinguish all light.
~
The woeful sound of Taps sends,
another message clear,
a lament to the fallen;
lights out, they will not hear.
~
Do you hear the bugle sound,
from there across the sea?
Do you recognize the tune,
as Taps or Reveille?
