To My Little Angel
This is my first poem dedicated to my daughter.

When God whispered to me it’s you who is coming along
I never knew what treasure was around
Then on that day when I held you in my arm
I thought to myself that an angel is going to call me a Mom

Daddy picked you up and started kissing
He too never knew that his heart you were stealing
I saw tears in his eyes but he wasn’t sad
He told me that this little angel is going to call me Dad

A bonding of love and trust built
When you held on to my fingers and drank milk
Daddy made you go to sleep in a little cradle
And left for fairies to come and look upon our little Angel

Now days are becoming months but I don’t want time to pass
I want you near me, holding me, just close to my heart
A day will come when you will be a girl and then women
But you will always be a little Angel sent from Heaven….
