was it all just crocodile tears and chocolate kisses?
little fishes cast out to catch bigger wishes? all the shine is a lie rust will ignore, the shattered door washes up on the shore and explains away the words you spoke -- your arms about my neck are a lying yoke. and i thought you an angel in my heaven but yours is a soul charity wouldn’t leaven: i come to you with nothing but empty hands, i’m just another giver no taker understands; i’m a hostage to your list of urgent demands … we’ll deal with and ignore my reprimands.
