Outline for Antihero Comic
by J Hern
Rated: E | Outline | Other | #1078851
This is an outline for a comic I'm working on, give any views please.
Name: Joe Emmet/Incarnate of the SpiralWinders

Overview: A man (Joe) with a nearly insatiable need for violence but with a heart and soul that screams for justice and the righteous path. He is a desperate man, a man racked with the guilt of his life. He has committed acts of violence so obscene that he wishes he could block them out but every waking and sleeping moment reminds him of what he has done. None of these acts were pre-conceived, due to the violence in his mind he is powerless to stop it erupting at times, and these episodes end with blood on his hands. All he wishes is to atone for what he has done, yet he can’t stop the violence in his mind. One night he is visited by a mysterious stranger who offers him a way out. If he agrees to become one of the secret society known as The SpiralWinders then he will be infused with a technology that will transform him into the antihero “Incarnate” (Look at sketches included). The technology will give him the ability to transform into this being whenever he chooses but on the condition that he uses his power for the good of mankind, or more importantly, the good of The SpiralWinders whose ideals may not always coincide with that of mankind’s. The being that he transforms into has virtually inexhaustible power, this power is linked with Joe’s hatred of himself and the rage that stems from his hatred.

Powers and Incarnate Overview:
In his normal human form Joe has no special powers except the adrenaline enhanced strength that any human gets from flying into a rage.
The being that Joe turns into, Incarnate, has a myriad of powers, all fuelled by Joes hatred and rage. These powers include, amongst others:
Super Strength
Super Healing
Super Senses (sight, touch, smell, hearing, taste)
The ability to look into a persons eyes and see their “true form”. This true form is the essence, or soul, of a person and can be used to determine whether a person is truly good at heart or evil through and through.
The ability to climb walls due to his clawed hands and feet along with the aide of his spiked tail.
The spikes of Incarnate can be used in any situation that they may be useful for, but are primarily for fighting.
The massive, spiked tail is used in fights but also, as said before, to aide climbing walls. As well as this it is a great counter-weight that keeps Incarnate balanced with ease, due to this Incarnate can suffer massive blows to the body and not lose his balance.
Incarnate stands at about 7ft 6’.
He is roughly around Class 50 (an ability of lifting and dealing with things weighing up to 50 tons).
The markings on Incarnates face, torso and legs are to represent his association with The SpiralWinders. The markings on the torso and legs also appear on Joe but are significantly less obvious.
Unknown to Joe and subsequently Incarnate, every time that a “True Injustice” is righted Incarnate gains more power. Over time this will be represented with slowly increasing amounts of spikes on Incarnates body and new powers being unlocked. Whether or not this ends up becoming beneficial, or eventually destroying Joe and Incarnate with too much power remains to be seen.
The ability to turn into Incarnate is completely voluntarily, so if Incarnate gets knocked unconscious he will not automatically turn back into Joe.
