I sit on the jetty
Looking out to sea, Wind blowing sand, Pelting, cutting me. I sit on the jetty Looking out to sea, Wind blowing water Coldly soaking me. I sit on the jetty Looking out to sea, Wind, sand, water Whittle away at me. I sit on the jetty Looking out to sea Wind blowing cobwebs, Slowly cleansing me I sit on the jetty Looking out to sea, Wind, sand, water Purifying me. I sit on the jetty Looking out to sea Wind, sand, water: The elements set me free. Written for a contest at writing.com, March 7th, 2006
