ELATION

I’ve always wondered why
Laughter is a great thing,
Or why so much pleasure
To a child it can bring?

You tell them a story,
Or you sing them a song,
They listen intently
And just giggle along.

Their small eyes do sparkle,
Like the bright summer sun,
As they grab up their toys
And outside they will run.

I’ve given it some thought
And here is what I think,
It cures us from sadness,
Quicker than you can blink.
